New Reader from Greg

Good news from Greg:

Hi Ben,

I finally published my first FVR/SSR book:

https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/El-chico-salvaje-A-short-story-FVR-SSR-e-book-for-CI-Spanish-teachers-3510365

This is the direction I think I am going to go in…..cheap FVR books in which teachers can print as many as they want for their classroom.

I originally wrote this story while still tied to a textbook.

I’ve always been a grassroots type guy….

  1. Way to go, Greg! I look forward to reading it soon. I believe you shared the beginnings of this book with me last year, or rather, with all of us at our TCI Chicagoland meeting. Didn’t it come out of a Special Person interview or something?

  2. No, this was when I first got into CI. I wrote a story based on the textbook theme since I was required to teach with Descubre. Then the students really liked it and talked about it even when I saw them in the halls the next school year. Last year we read the story as a class even though I was no longer tied to the textbook in Spanish 3.

Now I no longer teach Spanish 3, so I don’t know if our new hires who teach Spanish 3 will use it or not.
