Cameron Paterson

Here is another bio from Georgia from Cameron Paterson:

Stratford Academy, Macon, GA; Mercer University, Macon, GA Latin & ancient Greek, levels I, II, III, IV, V, AP

Latin students tend to be a highly motivated bunch, especially at the private school where I teach. So what brought me to comprehension based teaching is not so much trouble in the classroom, as the desire for a free and rigorous flow of ideas. Put simply, I like what you and others on your blog have to say. On hard days, I can look back at a post and read about a teacher experiencing similar problems. I came to comprehension based teaching for the community.

  1. Cameron,

You have my utmost respect for bringing ancient greek back to life through TCI. Do you know modern Greek as well? Do they both use the cyrillic alphabet or just the old one? Is it like Hebrew where if you know how to read and understand the old texts you can sort of get by with the modern langauge or at least it helps a bit, seeing that the modern one is an extension of the old one?

I am very impressed, and welcome Cameron!
